Data deletion

Your data, your call

How to delete the data OmniConva holds for your shop — by disconnecting a channel, or by requesting deletion of your whole account.

1What this page covers

When you use OmniConva we hold some data on your shop's behalf — your account, your product catalogue, and the conversations you have with customers. If you have connected a Facebook Page, Instagram account or WhatsApp number, that includes the messages and basic profile details we receive from those channels.

This page explains how to have that data deleted — either yourself from the dashboard, or by sending us a request.

2Fastest: disconnect a channel yourself

If you only want to remove the data that came from Facebook, Instagram or WhatsApp, disconnecting the channel is enough. We delete that channel's access token and stop receiving any further messages from it.

  • Sign in to the dashboard and open Settings → Connection.
  • Press Disconnect next to the channel you want to remove.
  • You can also remove it from Meta's side: Facebook → Settings → Business integrations, then remove OmniConva's access.

Disconnecting leaves your past conversations in your inbox, because many shops keep them as a record of orders. To remove everything, use the step below.

3Request deletion of all your data

To delete your whole account and everything in it, email us. There is no self-service delete button in the dashboard yet, so we process these requests by hand.

  • Use the subject line: Data deletion request
  • Include the mobile number on your account — that is how we verify the request is really from you.
  • Include your shop name, if you have more than one shop connected.

Once we receive the request we verify it, delete the data, and email you to confirm when it is done.

4What is deleted, and what is kept

Deleted

  • Your account and shop profile
  • Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp channel connections and access tokens
  • All customer conversations and any files sent in them
  • Your synced product catalogue and knowledge base entries
  • Orders taken in chat and the customer contact details attached to them

Kept for a while

We keep billing and payment records, because we are required to hold them for accounting and tax purposes. These contain no customer messages or personal details — only which plan was billed and for how much.

Data that lives on your own storefront or Facebook Page is not ours to remove; it stays on those platforms and has to be deleted there.

Send a deletion request

Use the subject line “Data deletion request” and include your account's mobile number, so we can verify the request is yours.
